1905 - Letter card to Mrs Hands, Badsey Vicarage

Description

Letter card from Broadstairs, to Mrs Hands, Badsey Vicarage, believed to have been written by W C Allsebrook. Printed address J R Gale, Thanet House, Broadstairs, on the front, and postmark, “Evesham, 6 am, July 1st 1905”, on the back. Contains 12 photos of Broadstairs and the following message: “Broadstairs, June 30 1905, MdA, I went from Margate to Ramsgate by boat this afternoon and have just arrived home by train. I should as soon think of going to Birmingham as to Ramsgate for a summer holiday. This is by far the best place in these parts but if any of these places is less stuffy than the Isle of Man at its very worst, I’m a Dutchman. Proceeding to Cliftonville and thence to Margate shortly. Remember to send Barnard to meet me at Evesham at 4.17 tomorrow. Love to all from your [?].”
