Newspaper article about the Evesham Custom (the traditional way in which rented land changes hands) which has come under threat. Richard Mumford of Timothy Lea & Griffiths has written a paper on the subject, which he intends to expand into a booklet. Mentions that he is awaiting a response from the Dean & Chapter of Christ Church, Oxford, and their agents, as to how they wished to deal with the chaneover of a tenancy on a small area of land at Badsey, which could drastically affect the future. Christ Church had changed their agents to Smith Woolley of Woodstock, who wish to change the practice.
