Newspaper article from The Archive Journal section of The Evesham Journal about Blackminster County Secondary's brass band which competed in the youth section of the national Brass Band Championships for the first time in 1971 and were placed eighth. The competition was held in Chelsea Town Hall and 25 members of the school's 65-strong band took part (under competition rules, bands were limited to 25 players. Mentions Mr Page, the bandmaster; includes photograph of the band with Mr Page.
