1911c - Christmas Card from Harold, "with love to auntie"

Description

Christmas card with picture of King George V on the front and the words "United may we ever be in love of country, truth and thee, our Gracious King. Inside, the following words printed: "Best wishes for a happy Christmas. Our hands and hearss united, to see all wrong things righted, and freedom's flag, still waving o'er our homes, with handwriting saying "from Harold with love to auntie". Harold is thought to be Harold Allsebrook, the half-brother of William Carmont Allsebrook, who lived at Badsey Vicarage for a time, certainly in 1911. "Auntie" may have been his name for Kate Hands, W C Allsebrook's mother-in-law.
