News article 1955 - article in The Birmingham Mail about the broken Badsey sign

Description

Newspaper article with photo and caption: "This sort of thing gives the village of Badsey a bad name! For the second time this year, the name plate on the Evesham side of Badsey has been broken in two - either by accident or design - and each time Badsey has become Bad. Mischievous children are blamed by some of the villagers, but all Badsey agrees that it is high time its good name was retored." Printed in The Birmingham Mail, 18th October 1955. On the reverse, Angelas Holdsworth has written, "Sent by my uncle; his writing of Birmingham Mail!"
